KEMICA COATINGS develops specialized coatings to improve the safety and performance of nuclear facilities, by combining innovation, expertise and high-performance materials.
Our non-flammable nuclear resin SOUPLETHANE COR FRB N has been qualified by NPCIL in India for Indian nuclear power plants, highlighting the reliability and international performance of our products.
Our coatings for nuclear waste storage drums offer advanced protection against the spread of radon gas. The attenuation coefficient test results speak for themselves :
Material | Attenuation Coefficient |
PCV | 9 |
SOUPLETHANE UR5 | 159 000 |
STAINLESS STEEL | < 6 600 |
These figures demonstrate the exceptional performance of SOUPLETHANE UR5, placing our technology among the most effective solutions for the safety of nuclear storage.
KEMICA COATINGS continues its research into reducing the diffusion of tritium, a radioactive gas present in certain nuclear processes.
At the same time, we are exploring solutions for capturing tritium for use in nuclear fusion reactors (ITER). This work is currently under study, and we are open to collaborating with technical partners for testing.
Our coatings also protect concrete structures, particularly in the event of an explosion, by strengthening their resistance and durability.
